GEO: be the answer AI gives.
GEO (generative engine optimization) is the work of getting your business named and cited inside the answers that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews give. We measure where AI mentions you today, fix what stops it reading and trusting your site, and measure again with the same questions until your name is the one it gives.

GEO and AI search
People ask, AI answers
More and more buyers skip the ten blue links and ask an assistant instead: which barber in Raleigh, which bike shop in Tilburg, which studio can build this. The answer names two or three businesses. If yours is not one of them, you were never in the running.
GEO and AI search
AI cites what it can read and trust
Assistants build their answers from pages they can fetch, parse and cross-check. A site that blocks their crawlers, hides its facts in images or disagrees with its own directory listings gets skipped, however good the business behind it is.
GEO and AI search
Measured, not guessed
We run the questions your customers really ask through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google, in their language, and write down who gets named. That baseline is where the work starts and the yardstick it is judged by.
What a GEO project includes
- An AI visibility baseline: your buyers' real questions, asked in every language you sell in, with every business the answers name
- A crawler check that goes past robots.txt: we confirm GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot actually receive your pages, because some hosts block them without telling you
- Answer blocks: every key page opens with a direct, quotable answer to the question it targets
- Structured data (Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage) generated from the same words the page shows
- Entity consistency: one name, one description and matching details across your site, your Google Business Profile and the directories
- A trust check: privacy policy, legal notice, company details and the first-hand proof an assistant looks for before it recommends anyone
- The sites AI quotes in your trade, from booking platforms to 'best of' lists, and a plan to get you onto them
- A second measurement with the same questions, so you see what moved and what did not
How it works
- 01
Measure
We build the question set with you, run it, and show you who AI names today and which pages it cites to say so.
- 02
Fix the site
Crawler access, answer blocks, schema, FAQ and trust pages. On a site that already exists this is usually about a week of focused work.
- 03
Fix the sources
Google Business Profile, directories, review platforms and the lists assistants quote. This is where a lot of the movement comes from, and it takes longer than the work on the site.
- 04
Measure again
AI answers move slowly. We re-run the same questions eight to twelve weeks later, once the engines have recrawled, and report what changed.
Proof

MR Society Barber Studio · Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
When we measured MR Society Barber Studio in Raleigh, the assistants did not cite a single barbershop website. They cited Fresha, Booksy, Yelp and Reddit. One measurement changed the plan: for a barber, the booking platforms and the Google reviews come first, the website second.

Questions clients ask
What is GEO?
Generative engine optimization: making your business easy for AI assistants to find, understand and cite, so that when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google's AI Overviews about your trade, your name is part of the answer.
Is GEO different from SEO?
They overlap. SEO earns you a position in the list of results; GEO earns you a mention inside the answer. Both need a site crawlers can read, but GEO leans harder on clear facts, structured data and what other sites say about you.
How long until we show up in AI answers?
Plan on eight to twelve weeks after the fixes go live. The engines have to recrawl your site and the sources they cite before anything changes. Anyone promising faster is guessing.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend us?
No, and nobody honestly can. What we can do is remove every reason it has not to, and measure the result with the same questions before and after.
Which AI assistants do you measure?
ChatGPT and Perplexity directly, plus Google's results, map pack and AI Overviews. The fixes carry over to Gemini, Claude and Copilot, which read the same open web.
Do we need an llms.txt file?
It takes fifteen minutes, so we add one. But there is no evidence yet that it changes what AI says about you, and we will not sell it to you as the thing that does.

Who does the work
Steven Savarin and Alberto Prada. The people who answer your message are the people who build your project, measure it and fix it.
